July 3: Blueprint A rockin' little guitar slingin' band based out of the Annapolis Valley.
July 10: Tom Haddal Tom Haddal was born in the Town of Lunenburg, and has spent his work career as a marine engineer circumnavigating the world 3 times. It seems only natural that the themes of the sea are evident in this Singer songwriter’s styles. Tom met his future wife Michele onboard an oil tanker they both sailed on. This relationship brought Tom’s music “out of his cabin” and onto the local music scene. They began to sing and play together at benefit shows, open mics, jams and song circles. The Haddals have been collaborating on song writing since then. 2008 brought Tom back into the studio to record “That’s the Way” the latest selection of work. 11 original songs, mostly recorded at Hope Studios in Meteghan River, by Bruce Boudreau. Inspirations for several selections are the hard working fishers from the District 34, Cape Sable Island. “Thieves of Mombassa” a true story tells listeners about experiences of pirates and stowaways while sailing the seas during 1986. This song was recorded and arranged by Steve McCall of Dartmouth, and took 5 years to reach this final mix. This new CD showcases Tom’s skills as a song writer and performer.

May 8: A Market Performance - AMP Festival at the Market
10: Sugarloaf Mountain 11: Ben Veneer 11:30 Chris Robison 12: Zenigma May 15: Ashley Condon “Ashley Condon is an old musical soul who sings with refreshing and youthful passion.” -George Scott, Songwriter Showcase, Alliston, ON Raised between two potato fields on Prince Edward Island, Ashley Condon is the grandchild of Bill Leblanc, a Canadian country pioneer who once spent the night in jail with Hank Snow. On her debut EP, “I’ve Got This Feeling,” Ashley sings simple, poignant songs from the heart–to the soul. Her vocals are powerful and her lyrics are thoughtful; a testament to the artist’s strength as both a songwriter and entertainer. The success of her 2008 EP garnered the attention of Ontario native and ECMA-nominated producer Joel Hunt (Teresa Ennis). The two have joined creative forces for a highly anticipated June 10’ release of “Come In From The Cold”. The new record features award winning instrumentalist Dale Murray(Cuff The Duke) on pedal steel and The Cowby Junkies’ Jeff Bird on mandolin, bass and harmonica. May 22: Hupman Brothers Ryan and Scott Hupman started playing together in their home town of Shelburne, Nova Scotia because, as they say, ‘there weren’t a lot of other things to do’. Ryan Hupman on lead guitar and lead vocals, and his brother Scott, on guitar, bass and vocals, must have been keeping their neighbourhood pretty lively too. There must have been a whole lot of picking and jamming going on in Shelburne somewhere because they have progressed way too far along the blues food chain to be this good this fast unless you believe in reincarnation.
May 29: Marianne Girard Born to a French /Irish family of 12, Marianne left the southwestern Ontario tobacco belt of her childhood for a life of journeying and songwriting: one she has steadfastly shared with her audience for over three decades. |

Mar 20: Jenny MacDonald Feeling frustrated with scholastic life, Jenny picked up an old, broken guitar found in storage - the rest is history. Romantic in love, audacious in battle, and inspired to change the world. Jenny stomps her way through dirty rock songs, swings her way through gypsy jazz tunes, and pulls on your heart strings as she finds her home in a touching love song. Since the release of her debut album, “Jenny Kissed Me” (2008), things have been moving quickly for Jenny. Successfully completing her first tour, Jenny has left her mark through the Eastern and Central provinces. Her album also earned her a feature spot on CBC Radio One's "Atlantic Airwaves", as well as special performances and interviews on Q104, The Fox, CFXU, and CKDU radio stations. In September of 2008, Halifax politely held the door for Jenny as she gracefully stepped into its colorful and eclectic music scene. Only a month after finding her home in the city, Jenny has found herself sharing the stage with many wonderful talents such as Ian Sherwood, Christina Martin, Andrea Curry, Coco Love Alcorn, and even Elizabeth May!
